The SITE Group’s success has been based on the diversity of individuals and ideas.  Since our inception in 1988, as a minority-owned organization specializing initially in engineering, technical and professional contract and direct placements, we quickly realized that diversity recruiting was a challenge for many employers and that we needed to become experts at diversity recruitment.  Historically, the majority of engineering and technical employees have not been people of color.  We have created a vast network of organizations, colleges, and Internet resources to meet this challenge.   We believe our strong investment in our diversity program will benefit any organization. 

Later in 1991, SITE started a temporary staffing firm for skilled, semi-skilled and administrative workers.  We believed that it was important to give back to the community by locating our offices in culturally diverse areas of Milwaukee.  We are excited and proud to say that the SITE Group, with offices at 8^th/National and Villard/Teutonia in 2000 placed over 7000 people with 80% of those being people of color.

Furthermore, internally SITE has created a diverse staff of bilingual employees to assist in these placements.  We have created our documentation in both Spanish and English.  Also, we developed a training program with Milwaukee Area Technical College on hand-soldering techniques.  SITE worked on the curriculum and paid for this training.  60 people graduated from this class and are actively placed in the community.  Of those 60, 85% of the graduates were people of color.
